Full Disclosure is a thriller from 2001 staring Fred Ward, Rachel Ticotin, Christopher Plummer and Penelope Ann Miller. Notice I didn’t include Virginia Madsen in there? That’s because she’s been relegated to supporting actress in this one. The late 90’s and early 2000’s weren’t exactly kind to her in this way.

Full Disclosure follows John McWhirter (Fred Ward) as an award-winning journalist who has fallen on some hard times. He’s hitting the bottle hard and is still trying to reconcile his involvement in a youthful misadventure that led to jail time for his friends at the time, but not him.
Virginia Madsen as Brenda Hopkins in Full Disclosure (2001), wearing a pinstripe suit with her hair in a neat updo. She sits at a desk with a serious expression, holding a pen, in a modern office setting with industrial machinery visible through a glass window behind her. While investigating the murder of an industrialist his old friends get back in touch with him and ask for his help in protecting a young woman from the FBI, just for a few days. Feeling obliged he agrees but things aren’t quite as they seem.

And, so it goes. The woman turns out to be involved with the murder that Johns investigating and nothing is what it seems to be at first glance, etc.Virginia Madsen as Brenda Hopkins in Full Disclosure, wearing a black pinstripe suit and gold watch. She holds a phone to her ear with a serious expression in a bright office with large windows. It’s not the most original of plots.

Virginia Madsen plays Johns boss, Brenda Hopkins, but she’s not really in it that much – When she is in it then it’s the usual quality of acting that you’d expect from her. The movie is way beneath her talents but it’s good to see her all the same.

Full Disclosure is very much a middling film, nobody is ever going to rave about it seeing it, but it’ll pass an hour or so if you’re sat in front of it. It’s nice to see Penelope Anne Miller doing something away from her usual stuff, she plays an Assassin, and not a very nice one. Well, I don’t suppose there are many nice assassins portrayed on screen but you know what I mean.
Virginia Madsen as Brenda Hopkins in Full Disclosure, wearing a beige blazer and pearl necklace. She stands in a busy newsroom, engaged in a serious conversation with a man, her expression tense and focused. And, so – Yeah .
